The anime series Inuyasha, is about a 15 year old teenage girl, named Kagome Higurashi. She lives in her family shrine
with her Mother, Grandfather, her cat, and her Brother, Souta. On the very day of her birthday, Kagome is told about "The
Shikon No Tama", a very powerful jewel, and finds out, that it is embeded in her body, after being pulled through her
family well by a centapede demon! She then, appears in feudal Japan, where all sorts of demons come after here for the Jewel!
While there, though, she meets the Priestess, Kaede, and the helf demon, Inuyasha, who was pinned to the Sacred Tree in the
Forest of Inuyasha for 50 years, by Kaedes older sister, Kikyou. Kagome ends up finding out that she is the riencarnation
of Kikyou, whom died after pinning inuyasha to the tree with her sacred arrow. The Shikon No Tama was burned with Kikyous
body, but somehow ended up in Kagomes body, which makes her Kikyous Riencarnation. (Not to mention they look alike) Inuyasha,
being his stubborn self, doesn't reveal it, but feels sorry for Kikyou, and it turns out, he was in love with her! But
the evil half demon, Naraku, transformed into Inuyasha, and killed Kikyou, making her believe Inuyasha had deceived her! So,
now, Kagome has the Jewel, but wants to go home to the modern world. The next day, she ends up getting kidnapped
by a bunch of perverted theives who want the Jewel, but luckily Inuyasha comes to the rescue! However, a bird swoops down
and grabs the jewel, flying off with it, and Kagome and Inuyasha are left to follow it. Kagome tries to hit it with her bow
and arrow, but fails. In the village, where the priestess Kaede is, the bird swallows the jewel, and eventually is cut
to peices. But that doesn't stop it, the bird puts itself back together, but the foot of it is stuck on a little boys
back. Kagome ties the birds foot to an arrow and shoots it at it. However, in her attempt to kill the bird, the jewel inside
it, ends up shattering, and the fragments scatter all over the land! So, now, Kagome and Inuyasha are teamed up to find
the jewel shards, so Inuyasha can become full demon, and along the way make a few friends! They are Sango, Shippo, Kilala,
and Miroku. They all help each other durng battles with demons, and gather shards of the jewel together!
